Not exactly suddenly – my ideal mushroom shape has been eluding me for years. And this shape is still a work in progress – as the scale changes the pattern and technique have to be adjusted – but I’m very happy with the last few trys. I wish I had time to make more right now but there are lots of other projects that are more urgent this week.
Above – another, larger and made from vintage and antique garments in shades of black. And below a new little arrangement of things on my wall that’s making me happy right now – including a new sort of mini owl- more on those soon.
Happy Columbus Day where applicable and one more photo – some new, dark gimlet eyed owls in progress:

Love the shroom!
Also, love the wall art, your choice of items, and especially placed above that beautiful cabinet and sewing machine.
this place of yours is magical
I love the new owl! Totally adorable! Also liking the mushrooms…I doodled mushrooms onto my notebooks all through my high school days (long ago :D) and then my first job ended up taking me to the office of a mushroom growing/canning business. I still have a particular fondness for those shapes, and the little lace membrane is cute. I would suggest – mushrooms don’t grow alone, you need to have clumps of various sizes!
Love the owl and the mushroom, too. Just a head’s up. This was posted on the 8th, I believe, but the email notifying me of a new post only arrived late on the 15th. If you ever post something time sensitive, some of your followers may not get it in time. Just thought you’d like to know. I don’t know if it’s something you can fix.
The blue mushroom is lovely! If I were very small, I would like to hide beneath it when it rained
hi Ann, Loving your mushrooms! I am a big fan of yours all the way over in England 😉 I stumbled upon your blog and simply adore your creations that pop up in my inbox. I also love that chest of drawers in the background! Where did you find something so exquisite? Did you find it like that or customize it yourself? Much luck and inspiration in your future endeavours, Livi Lollipop xo
Have just discovered your blog – the mushrooms are just gorgeous and agree with the comment above – they would look fantatsic in little clumps. Also love your wall arrangement – have just the spot for that little clock …..
LOOOVE the mushroom – uber cute 🙂

I’m impressed, I have to admit. Rarely do I encounter a blog that’s equally educative and amusing, and let me tell you, you have hit the nail on the head. The issue is an issue that too few people are speaking intelligently about. Now i’m very happy that I found this during my hunt for something concerning this.|
